Family is the best!

Family is the best. It breaks my heart that many people do not have families in which they feel loved or feel like they can love.  A few weeks ago we were at a restaurant to celebrate Jake's birthday and a family came storming out, yelling at eachothefand and using some choice words. Now' don't get me wrong, Jake and I still have our disagreements, and no family is perfect. But we are blessed.

Our families are faith-filled. Their faithful gospel living and friendship are without a doubt the greatest sources of joy in our lives. I think that is what Heavenly Father meant for families to be like!

Last month we got to go on a day vacation with "The Hancocks" to celebrate Dustin, Meagan, and Jake's birthdays. We had a blast at Out of Africa and Montezuma's Castle.

Mikayla was NOT a fan of the giraffe sticking his head in the safari bus!

The animals were super close and the guides/staff were excellent. 

Dax was eating it up. Literally and figuratively. 

Jake was set on getting Maylee to point at the animals. Don't ask me why. Maylee clearly did not understand why either. 

Mikayla was a little more willing to please but note entirely convinced. 

Daxton has the point DOWN! It's his trademark. And adorable.

Love this guy. I think he is a pretty terrific uncle. 

These two are so different but so good with each other. I love watching Meagan and Dustin with their kids. They're terrific parents. 

This place amazes me. It reminds me that Heavenly Father always has been and always will be God of the whole earth. I love His plan!
